I’m Nicky, welcome to Nature’s Story

Originally an archaeologist, I have spent 20 years working with museums and heritage organisations on a wide variety of interpretation and education projects. Find out more about my career path on my LinkedIn profile

I am also a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader and Outdoor Instructor, working with a wide range of groups, inspiring them to love the great outdoors as much as I do!  My work as a Forest Bathing guide and Nature Connection Facilitator never fails to move and astound me, when I see the healing power that nature holds and the benefits it brings to the health and wellbeing of participants in my sessions.

My passion is to bring together my experience in the heritage sector with my work in the outdoors, to provide opportunities for connections with nature, with the past, with a sense of place, and with what makes us human. We have lost so much knowledge and connection to the land, and I believe that reconnecting with this heritage can bring us comfort, community, and a greater understanding of who we are and where we are headed.

As an archaeologist, I believe that there is nothing more special than sitting around a fire with others, telling stories, sharing food, making connections – just as we have done for thousands of years.
